ADOPT 500 BABY MANGROVE TREE AND RESTORE THE UAE’S MANGROVE FORESTS
These remarkable ocean trees can store four times more carbon than rainforests on land
Why plant a baby mangrove tree?
1. Remove carbon pollution: A natural “carbon sink,” mangroves absorb carbon dioxide from the air and store it in their web of roots and branches for millions of years.
Each Mangrove Tree planted removes over 308kg of CO2* from the atmosphere over the growth life of the tree (estimated to be 25 years).
2. Provide a safe haven for wildlife: Restoring, replanting, and replenishing our UAE ocean forests will change more than just the scenery. It will nurture a bountiful underwater ecosystem and help reverse climate change.
Mangroves are nursery areas for crustaceans, molluscs, and fish.
3. Protect coastlines: Mangroves are an important source of biodiversity in the UAE providing a habitat for local species and protecting our coastlines.
Mangroves are known in the UAE as the “Guardians of the Coast”.
Mangrove parents will receive a digital certificate with the date, picture and place of their trees.
100% of profits fund our mission to protect and restore oceanic ecosystems and marine life - turning the tide on climate change.
